Head Coach of the USA Judo National Resident Training Center Team

BIO

Robert Eriksson served as the head coach of the Swedish National Team for over 17 years, coaching through the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics. In September 2023, Eriksson was appointed as the head coach of the USA Judo National Resident Training Center Team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, he works with the USA Judo high-performance staff to establish and lead the organization’s first-ever Resident Development Team, bringing his extensive expertise in developing athletes through multiple Olympic cycles. As an athlete, Eriksson was a multiple-time Swedish and Nordic champion, competing in both the under 90kg and under 100kg categories during his remarkable career.

7:30 pm – 9:30 pm: Cadet, IJF Junior, Seniors Camp 1 (Ages: 15+) 

SATURDAY, JUNE 1ST

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Cadet, IJF Junior, Seniors Camp 2 (Ages: 15+)

Lunch Break

3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Cadet, IJF Junior, Seniors Camp 3 (Ages: 15+)

5:30 pm – 7:00 pm: Pizza Party @ WJA for all campers

SUNDAY, JUNE 2ND

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Cadet, IJF Junior, Seniors Camp 4 (Ages: 15+)

12:00 pm – 1:30 pm:  Coaches Seminar (USA Judo registered coaches)

Presentation: High-performance training at the International level, Q&A.

PRICING

TRAINING CAMPS

Members: $15 per session (All sessions: $50)

Non-Members: $ 35 per session (All sessions: $120)

LIMITED spots!  Maximum 15 students per session

Prior approval is required for second-year Juveniles born in 2010, please email info@wajudo.com for approval and/or inquiry

RESTRICTIONS

1) Must be a member of USA Judo, otherwise need to obtain a membership with USA Judo first – registration link:
  1. Minor athletes who have never been a USA Judo member can join at $60 for the first year through the “Youth” option. This is valid for 365 days.
  2. Any person who hasn’t been a member can join at $45 through the Trial option. This is valid for 45 days.
  3. Any person who hasn’t been a member can purchase an Event-Only membership for sanctioned NON-POINT tournaments. These are $15 and are only valid for the tournament. Athletes may only buy this membership once per year.

2) This is a high-performance camp and is NOT suitable for beginners (blue belts and under) and non-competitors. All participants will be screened for eligibility and those who do not fit the qualification criteria will be notified by email, and camp fees will be refunded.

3) Washington Judo Academy reserves the right to refuse service for any reason that may jeopardize the safety and well-being of athletes, staff, and facilities.  Camp fees will be refunded.

 
4) No refunds for no-shows and cancellations.
 
5)  All participants must register electronically, NO walk-ins.  Confirmation emails must be presented at the door upon arrival.
