
Satoshi Ishii is an Olympic Judo gold medalist and one of the most accomplished crossover grapplers of his generation. He captured gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the +100kg division, representing Japan, and went on to build an extensive international career across Judo, submission grappling, and mixed martial arts.
Following his Olympic success, Ishii transitioned into professional MMA, competing at the highest levels for organizations including PFL, Bellator, and Rizin, while continuing to apply elite Judo principles to modern grappling and fighting. As an instructor, Ishii brings a rare combination of Olympic-level Judo, world-class grappling, and real competition experience, offering athletes practical, performance-driven instruction across both gi and no-gi disciplines.
